More than 5,600 travel professionals attended the NBTA conference in August to review new products, learn new best practices and share experiences and solutions. This was the third largest convention in NBTA history and the DFW BTA chapter was pleased to represent travel buyers and suppliers from our region in San Diego. DFW BTA also made partner with the NBTA Political Action Committee (PAC) as a result of meeting the chapter's goals for contributions this year. NBTA PAC is is NBTA’s political action committee that raises money to support political candidates for federal office who know and understand – and support – the issues of business travelers. And, to top off our highly successful exposure at NBTA, DFW BTA was recognized by Business Travel Executive (BTE) magazine for planning and executing "Memorable Meetings". Our chapter received first place in the "Membership Growth" category and third place in both "Fundraising" and "Educating". So, thanks to all DFW BTA members for your hard work and support that produced very positive results this year for our chapter and for the community.
Founded in 1970’s, Dallas/Ft. Worth Business Travel Association (DFWBTA), an official chapter of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), provides an important forum for the exchange of information, education and ideas among its members, who include representatives from local corporations and leading travel industry suppliers. Our emphasis is on working together to better understand new and emerging travel management practices.
DFWBTA is committed to enhancing the travel profession by sponsoring educational and informational programs for its members, and by providing top-rated speakers to address travel-related issues, concerns and current "hot topic" items.
DFWBTA is an excellent venue for the sharing of travel-related information and professional expertise, and is an organization focused on perfecting the science of business travel management.

DFWBTA is an affiliation of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), whose members represent major corporations and travel suppliers throughout the United States. Along with DFWBTA, the national organization provides members with information on the latest technical and service advantages within the industry, as well as current legislative issues involving travel costs and safety matters affecting business travel.
