February Chapter Monthly Meeting Recap

The DFWBTA hosted their monthly chapter meeting at the Hilton DFW Lakes on February 16, 2010. The topic was “Corporate Travel Management and Driving Compliance" and a panel of corporate travel managers shared the various challenges and rewards of travel policy compliance. Will Tate of Management Alternatives moderated this lively session that included Moira Kinzie of Bain & company, Sandra Wall of Dresser, Inc. and Michael Spooner of JC Penney. The crowd of over 100 was able to interact with the panelist and learn more about their specific and very diverse travel programs. One attendee stated "It was very informative and gave me a better understanding of how differently and also how similar Travel Managers handle compliance." Another said the meeting was "very practical and enlightening."

DFW BTA is proud to hold our 11^th annual charity golf tournament benefiting Jonathan’s Place and Chapter Scholarships. The tournament will be held at the Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine on May 11^th. See links below for registration and view sponsorship opportunities. This year a networking pairing party will be available for all members on the evening of May 10^th at the Gaylord Hotel. This will replace our monthly social event and we welcome everyone to come out and enjoy appetizers and cocktails. A room block at the Gaylord will also be available.
